Manager/Supervisor
Rag & bone is seeking an experienced Search Optimization Manager to lead our search engine and answer engine optimization strategies. This role is critical in driving organic traffic, improving search rankings, and ensuring our content is optimized for emerging search behaviors, including voice search and AI-driven answer engines. You will collaborate closely with content, product, digital media, agency and development teams to implement best practices across all digital touchpoints.

Key Responsibilities
- Develop and execute comprehensive SEO and AEO strategies to increase organic traffic and visibility across traditional and emerging search platforms.
- Conduct technical SEO audits and work with the product team and developers to resolve site issues (crawlability, indexation, site speed, structured data).
- Perform keyword research and competitive analysis, including conversational and question-based queries for voice and AI search.
- Optimize on-page elements (meta tags, headings, internal linking) and oversee content optimization and creation for SEO and AEO components and features
- Implement structured data and schema markup to improve eligibility for rich results and answer boxes.
- Monitor and report on SEO and AEO performance metrics using tools like Google Analytics and Search Console
- Stay current with industry trends, algorithm updates, and emerging technologies in search and AI-driven engines.
- Collaborate with content and marketing teams to align SEO/AEO with broader business goals.
- Manage SEO agency relationship and ensure alignment with paid media strategy
- Manage link-building initiatives and outreach campaigns.
- Provide regular insights and recommendations to stakeholders.
- 3–5+ years of hands-on SEO experience (agency or in-house).
- Strong understanding of search engine algorithms, ranking factors, and technical SEO.
- Familiarity with voice search optimization, featured snippets, and structured data.
- Proficiency with SEO tools (e.g. Google Analytics, Search Console).
- Experience with Shopify and basic HTML/CSS knowledge.
- Analytical mindset with ability to interpret data and make actionable recommendations.
- Prior experience managing marketing agency relationships.
- Excellent communication and project management skills.
- Experience in eCommerce SEO and AEO.
- Knowledge of schema markup and structured data for rich results.
- Understanding of UX and its impact on SEO and voice search.
- Familiarity with AI-driven search engines and conversational query optimization.
