As part of the continued development of the brand in Europe, Rag & Bone is building its European team in Paris to support the next phase of growth across retail, e-commerce and wholesale. 
 

The Role 

Rag & Bone is looking for a passionate and business-driven Buyer to support the development of the brand across the European market. Based in Paris and working closely with the New York HQ teams, this role will play a key part in defining assortments, driving product performance and supporting the growth of the European business. The role requires a strong understanding of the contemporary/premium fashion market, a sharp product eye, strong analytical capabilities and a deep interest in client behavior and retail performance. This position will work cross-functionally with Buying, Planning, Retail, Visual Merchandising, Marketing and Product teams. 
 

Responsibilities: 

Assortment Strategy & Buying 

  • Define and adapt assortments for the European market  

  • Partner with Planning teams to define buying quantities and open to buy budgets  

  • Ensure product selections are aligned with local customer expectations and business opportunities  

  • Support the definition of key seasonal product priorities and category strategies  

  • Analyze product performance and identify opportunities and risks throughout the season  

Product Performance & Business Analysis 

  • Monitor sales performance, sell-through and stock levels across stores and channels  

  • Produce regular product reporting and business analysis  

  • Identify best-sellers, missed opportunities and underperforming categories  

  • Support pricing and assortment recommendations based on local market dynamics  

Market & Competitive Analysis 

  • Conduct ongoing competitive benchmarking across the European premium and contemporary market  

  • Analyze competitors’ assortments, key categories, pricing architecture and product strategies  

  • Identify market trends and emerging opportunities relevant to the European customer  

Retail Partnership & Client Understanding 

  • Spend regular time in stores to understand customer behavior and retail execution  

  • Gather qualitative feedback from store teams and clients  

  • Identify product opportunities based on client needs and selling feedback  

  • Support a stronger connection between HQ and European retail and online realities  

Cross-Functional Collaboration 

  • Work closely with Visual Merchandising teams to support product storytelling and merchandising strategies  

  • Provide regular feedback to Product and Design teams in New York  

  • Collaborate with Retail, E-Commerce and Marketing teams to support key launches and commercial priorities  

  • Participate in seasonal market appointments and buying sessions  
     

Requirements: 

  • Minimum 5 years of experience in Buying, Merchandising or Product-related functions within premium or contemporary fashion  

  • Strong product sensitivity and passion for fashion  

  • Strong analytical and business mindset  

  • Good understanding of the European fashion landscape and competitive environment  

  • Ability to combine creativity and commercial thinking  

  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills  

  • Fluent English is mandatory  

  • French would be considered a strong plus  

  • Comfortable working in an international and fast-moving environment  

  • Entrepreneurial mindset and hands-on approach
