Assistant, Raw Materials

At rag & bone, we’re seeking a dynamic and detail-oriented Raw Material Assistant to join our innovative Raw Material Procurement team. This role is a critical part of our Product Management team, supporting the end-to-end process of fabric and trim procurement. You’ll collaborate with mill partners, internal cross-functional teams, and the design team to ensure seamless material sourcing, organization, and data integrity. Key Responsibilities

Production Support:
  • Supports Fabric Purchasing Manager with bulk fabric approvals
  • Maintain and organize the material library, ensuring approved trim & fabric bulk standards are readily accessible
  • Create and update seasonal liability boards to support the product team’s decision-making
  • Follow up with trim & fabric vendors at the beginning of each season to support building
  • booking calendars for both SMS and Bulk Production

Development Support:
  • Create material codes in D365 (ERP) and maintain accurate trim data (images, content, costs,lead times, MCQ/MOQ) ensuring full data integrity
  • Issue Purchase orders to vendors for SMS samples
  • Create and maintain Seasonal trim Boards and seasonal SMS Trim chart
  • Partner with PD on pulling of trims to send out for SMS
  • Maintain organization and make sure all core trims are replenished in sample room
  • Support Trim Purchasing Manager with collecting Trim Detail Sheets for approved developments
Qualifications:
  • 1-2 years of experience in purchasing, procurement, or buying (raw materials experience
  • preferred but not required).
  • Raw material field preferable but open to experience from other industries.
  • Excellent administrative, analytical, planning, and communication skills
  • Strong initiative, strategic thinking, and meticulous attention to detail.• Ability to prioritize tasks independently and adapt quickly in a fast-paced environment.
  • Passion for learning, a strong work ethic, and a collaborative mindset.
