Overview rag & bone is currently looking for an Assistant, Production & Product Development to support our Women’s Woven apparel category. We are looking for a highly organized individual with excellent communication and follow up skills to join our growing team. This is an entry level position.
The Assistant, Production & Product Development will manage the following tasks for their assigned categories daily.
Development
Work cross functionally with Design, Tech, and Pattern Markers to launch styles into development
Build all styles and detailed BOM’s in internal style management system
Build/send seasonal factory WIP’s with clear direction for factories to proceed with sampling
Build and maintain seasonal Master WIP that monitors various steps in product lifecycle (development-production)
Ensure that all garment details are organized and communicated to factories for accurate costing
Facilitate the shipment of all sample materials (proto-SMS)
Launch seasonal trials with vendors and ensure timely delivery
Partner with vendors, TD and sample rooms to ensure deadlines are met for protos and SMS
Communicate progress/ETA’s for all samples cross functionally
Maintain BOM’s throughout development process
Review, facilitate and track pre-market SMS alterations
Build strong cross functional relationships with Design, Merchandising, Tech Design
Costing Management
Collect and confirm all cost sheets (proto-final bulk)
Work with vendors to update cost sheets as needed
Assist in negotiating costing
Enter cost details into internal style management system
Production
Work with Merchandising, Sales, Company Planning, and Raw Materials team to review and confirm final buys
Issue all bulk PO’s
Organize and lead bulk BOM meeting with tech design
Maintain/Update bulk PO’s with x-factory, delivery date and final costing
Update seasonal factory WIP’s with final buys and BOM’s
Maintain seasonal Master WIP throughout production
Communicate daily with vendors to trouble shoot any production issues that arise
Monitor communication between finished goods vendors and raw material vendors
Facilitate the shipment of all pre-production sample materials
Monitor sample timing for all PPS, TOP’s, bulk shipments
Monitor quality standards throughout production process
Trouble shoot potential issues and partner cross functionally to find a solution
Communicate delays and production shortages/overages cross functionally
REQUIREMENTS
Highly organized.
Excellent communication skills.
Ability to work closely with cross functional partners.
Bachelor’s degree.
Internship experience in a related field is a plus, but not a requirement.
The salary for this position is between $50,000-55,000 based on experience and qualifications
